Parent Guide
At our school we aim to encourage our pupils to have hopes and aspirations for the future. We want each and every child to have the confidence to be involved in change in the face of some of the seemingly insurmountable giants. Our Young Transformers initiative will enable our children to be involved in transformative experiences that not only enable social change, but also transforms their own lives. We want to empower our pupils to become involved in projects of varying scales that tackle issues, support others and improve our communities at a local level and beyond.
Our vision is to encourage our pupils to recognise that knowledge is a powerful tool and they can use it effectively to initiate change and improve the world in which they live; giving their time and other resources to assist in making these changes. As a school we are approaching this in two parts; with one element involving children in their homes and another in school. In both settings each child will engage in activities with the power to transform aspects of their lives and others. We believe that by empowering the children within our schools to claim their voice that they will take their place as active global citizens.
